Daizen Joinery specializes in timber frame manufacturing.
Our strengths are our understanding of wood, knowledge of how timbers behave, and selection of best-fit material grades to a variety of specifications.
We design in AutoCAD, which can link to most other CAD systems. All our design work is 3D, allowing us to check all aspects of the details, from authenticity to functionality.
Both European master carpenters and Japanese carpenters are on staff. We are equipped with a CNC machine, a grain-matched glulam system, and a variety of custom systems: a mix that is unique in the timber framing industry.
So that we are current on technology, ongoing research and development includes material science, wood joinery, structural fasteners, coating systems, and fabrication methods.
Our work includes full or hybrid timber frames, and partial frames such as an entrance or covered roof, exterior structure, timber accents, timber stairs, and so on.
We do not limit our fabrication to style or size: we take on a wide variety, from single-day projects to large-scale commercial frames. As long as our specialties are required on a project, we are happy to get involved.
Our goal is to become the preferred timber frame provider.
